C. D. Jones Room
Vice President and Operating Vice President, 1918-1952
C. D. Jones, an accountant by training, entered railroad service with the Algoma Central & Hudson Bay in 1897 and joined the EBT as Auditor in 1905. He subsequently served as assistant to President Seibert and as corporate Secretary and Assistant General Manager. He assumed responsibility for EBT operations in 1918 and held this position until 1952. After stepping down as operating head, he continued with the line as a Vice President, completing 51 years of service. During much of this period he resided in the former Markle House Hotel, now the Rockhill American Legion post. Jones is second from the right in the group of narrow gauge veterans pictured above.
